The question of what to do when you retire never gave Jeff Hartman a moment's pause.  It had always been his dream to work in some way with animals and when his daughter spotted an ad in the paper she called her dad and told him he needed to apply to Southside Animal Hospital.  The rest is history!  Jeff has been part of our staff for over a year and his compassion, work ethic and dedication have made such a difference.

Jeff is a native of Evansville, Indiana.  He graduated from the Univeristy of Evansville with Bachelor of Education degree.  Jeff worked in the laboratory of Bondline Adhesives for nineteen years.  He is the father of two children who have left the nest.  Jeff is a "birder", loves the outdoors and travel.  He is known for his wicked sense of humor

Jeff was struck by Cupid's arrow when an abandoned kitten, later to be named JJ (Jeff Jr.) was brought to the hospital.  Dr. Werner asked him if he would take the sick kitten home for the weekend and Jeff lost his heart.  Recently another addition was added to the Hartman home.  A rescued three legged kitten named Frankie Three Paws now lives with JJ and Jeff.  You might say that Jeff is the "cat's meow"!
